1964 Ford Falcon Futura Hardtop Challenger 260 (VIN: 4K11F120305), skylight blue over blue cloth interior, auto trans with floor mounted shifter, 11,271 miles indicated, Windsor 260 V8 with a Holley 2-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer 289 manifold., Wilwood brake master cylinder, electronic coil and new cooling fans. It has no radio installed but has extra gauges mounted under the dash for oil pressure and water temp. This Futura is very solid underneath, and has a very solid body. The floorpans and trunk areas have no rust, and the metal around the windshield is in excellent condition, showing no rust (windshield was replaced in Sept 2019). The body is very straight with no dents or dings, although with closer inspection the paint on every body panel shows some sort of flaw - chips, cracks, spiderwebbing etc. Nobody would be embarrassed to be seen driving this Falcon, but someone wanting perfect cosmetics should plan on a total repaint. The motor starts right up, idles smoothly and doesn’t smoke or burn oil. The transmission shifts smoothly and the car drives extremely well. The steering is tight and the car has great brakes. This Falcon comes with brand new 15” Superlite rims with new Toyo Proxes tires, as well as the original set of factory rims. The body plate info shows the car is mostly as-built, but at some point in its history the factory manual trans was exchanged for an automatic, and bucket seats with custom mounts replaced the factory bench seat.
